A: TLC – waterfalls
Q: What is your hot beverage of choice?
A: Tea, almond milk & honey; Simple and sweet.
Q: What is your emotional response to the color yellow?
A: If happiness was a color
Q: What is the weirdest pet you have ever had?
A: My cat Jackson, he was very weird. Lol
Q: If you could have a conversation with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?
A: My late grandfather on my dad’s side. My dad always speaks so highly of him, id love for us to get to know each other.
Q: What was your favorite TV show growing up?
A: Moesha
Q: If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
A: The power to heal
Q: What does your name mean/does it suit you?
A: “God gave us Joy”. I think it suits me. My friends and family find me a joy to be around… so I’ve been told.
Q: What gets you out of bed in the morning?
A: Well, besides the beautiful sunrise, the chance to add value to someone’s life in any way. I’m one who loves to beat my own personal records, so being able to wake up, challenge myself and see the positive impact it has on people is extremely gratifying.
Q: Do you have any irrational fears?
A: Rollercoasters! “Kiddie rides” for the win!
Q: What would the title of your memoir be?
A: You tell me.
Q: If you were a color, what would you be and why?
A:  Ocean Blue because I’m calm for the most part but also have the ability to create waves. Lol, the good kind.
Q: What are three things still left on your bucket list?
A: Hot air balloon ride, learn how to ariel dance, travel!!!
Q: Who was your favorite teacher and why?
A: My History teacher Mr. Desia. He was the right balance of fun and discipline. He truly loved his job and his students.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: Teacher. I remember when I was younger being so heavily impacted by some of my elementary school teachers. Other than a child’s parents their teachers make a strong impact. I wanted to be able to be that positive impact.
Q: Which three words best describe you?
A: Funny. Thoughtful. Island.
Q: If you could travel in time, would you go to the past or the future? Why?
A: Probably the past, with all my current knowledge I’d hopefully be able to correct some historical mistakes, in turn creating a better future.
Q: How would you like to be remembered?
A: As a woman who lived in her purpose!
Q: Do you have any random pastimes you enjoy?
A: I think family time is the best past and present time!
Q: How would you describe what you do at work to a child?
A: I connect people with one another in a creative way.
