Shane is the mastermind behind our website work. From designing them to fixing those random problems that pop up; Shane is the man. Shane has been doing website design and graphic design for over 9 years. When not working Shane is spending time with his family, reading, watching a film, or playing thematic board games. We asked Shane some questions so you can get to know him, here are his answers.
Q: What’s your favorite song from the 90’s?
A: Truly madly deeply – Savage Garden (guilty pleasure)
Q: What is your hot beverage of choice?
A: Green Tea
Q: What is your emotional response to the color yellow?
A: Well, this depends on what kind of yellow – a bright yellow, na, but like a dull yellow, yes.
Q: What is the weirdest pet you have ever had?
A: A dove that I didn’t have a cage for and roamed my room freely.
Q: If you could have a conversation with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?
A: M. Night Shyamalan
Q: What was your favorite TV show growing up?
A: Hey Arnold! And The X Files of course
Q: If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
A: Teleportation
Q: What does your name mean/does it suit you?
A: Gift from God. A lot of people keep saying to me, “Shane, come back!”, I wonder why…
Q: What gets you out of bed in the morning?
A: My wife telling me to go rock the baby.
Q: Do you have any irrational fears?
A: I don’t like the way newspapers feel. I called it “hairy paper” when I was a kid. Especially when I have dirt on my hands and I have to touch it.
Q: What would the title of your memoir be?
A: Hey Yeah Yo You
Q: If you were a color, what would you be and why?
A: Green, because of Green Arrow of course.
Q: What is still left on your bucket list?
A: Travel/vacation to Europe
Q: Who was your favorite teacher and why?
A: Mr. Layman(High School Math teacher) – he was just, fun and he never once beat me in Chess during my Junior year.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I watched too many movies as a kid. So I wanted to do that – write screenplays
Q: Which three words best describe you?
A: Easy-Going, Chill, laid back. I guess those all mean the same thing anyways.
Q: If you could travel in time, would you go to the past or the future? Why?
A: I would go to the past: 1950’s.
Q: How would you like to be remembered?
A: I get great enjoyment when my daughter looks at something I do that I am good at and admires me for it. So whatever that is, I think is good enough to be remembered for.
Q: Do you have any random pastimes you enjoy?
A: I enjoy going to see a movie with my dad. As non-social/lack of human interaction as that might seem, it is still a favorite pastime of mine and super nostalgic.
Q: How would you describe what you do at work to a child?
A: I help make the internet a pretty place.
